Perfect Outfit, Perfect Day

Perfect Outfit, Perfect Day

This is going to be a short post, dear readers. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and everyone seems to be in a state of utter delirium because of the arrival of spring.

enchanted

I am one of those people going berserk over the first beams of sun. I adore spring. I breathe spring. I am spring.

So that is why I would rather go outside and enjoy this beautiful April day instead of sitting behind my laptop writing blog posts. No offence.

But don’t worry, dear readers. I won’t leave you empty-handed. Because this post is not only a celebration of spring, it is also a celebration of the perfect spring outfit. It is feminine, funky, cool, retro, classy, elegant and quirky all rolled into one. This colourful outfit is the embodiment of a sunny perfect day, with the light blue representing the fresh breeze of air and the soft orange and coral capturing the warmth of the sun.

It is fabulous. It is spring. But first and foremost: it is YOU!

Enjoy!

Fifty shades of sunglasses

See what I did there? 😉 Deft pun aside, this summer will be all – and when I say all, I do mean ALL- about shades! They provide an instant glam factor to any outfit and turns you into the perfect summer babe, even without a perfect summer tan.

This summer’s sunglass mantra is “the bolder the better”. Some designers’ sunglasses were so bold, I couldn’t quite figure out whether they were incredibly cool or incredibly ridiculous. As always, there’s a fine line between very vogue and very rogue.

But I do like to take risks, especially when it comes to fashion, and I truly believe there are some fashion daredevils among you readers as well! I could give you a list of all the new fabulous shades out there, but like I said, that would be a very long list. So instead of giving you a list of 50 sunglasses, ranging from pretty to pretty ludicrous, I’m giving you my ultimate top 3:

1) Egg-celent view

Round sunglasses aren’t just for Harry Potter freaks and people suffering from Easter melancholia, they are for every young and fashionable woman with an edge.

2) Catwoman

There is a catwoman waiting to purr inside all of us and these sunglasses are the perfect way to embrace your inner Halle Berry. They are classy but not safe. They are sexy but not slutty. They are simply perfect. (Especially those from Dior!) Miaow!

3) Pretty little flowers

This is by far my favorite shade-trend: Sunglasses decorated with flowers. Whether you opt for very graphical plastic flowers, like the ones from Prada, or frivolous tiny florets, like the shades from Anna Sui, one thing is certain: these flowers will not wither, just like your amazing sense of style! 😉

“Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower”

“Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower”

Fall, my favorite time of year. Leaves are painted into fifty shades of red, brown and yellow. The cool air is refreshing and the smell of roasted chestnuts, pumpkin soup  and damp wood are indulgingly nostalgic. It’s also the time of cute hats and cozy knitted sweaters, leather long-sleeved gloves and faux-fur coats.  The perfect fall outfit to go for a long walk in the woods.

When the sun is shining, what better way to spend your time than to be out in the woods? The fresh blush on your cheeks being one of the many perks.  When it rains, what better way to spend your time than to sit back and relax in front of the fireplace with a good book and a hot chocolate? Cozy is no longer an adjective, but a state of mind.

Fall reminds me that everything can change. That transition is not something to be afraid of, but something to look forward to. Fall captures unspoiled beauty and the seasonal changes will be the memories of a lifetime.
