Louis Vuitton has done it again! The check board trend is back and celebrities are absolutely loving it. Vuitton’s designer, the ever-brilliant Marc Jacobs, gave the audience a runway experience extraordinaire this spring.  Beautiful models descended from escalators onto a yellow-white checkered runway. It was like getting a glimpse of what this world could actually look like; a vision of pure and peaceful perfection. The perfect balance between playful elegance and an edgy retro-vibe.

I am completely smitten with the colour palet of black and white with touches of bright yellow. It’s cheeky and girly, but yet so feminine and sexy. There are no words to describe Marc Jacobs’ brilliant mind. The things he designs aren’t clothes. Damn, it’s not even fashion! It is a vision. On Life, on love, on liberty.

What I’m trying to say is: CHECK out these clothes and run to the stores to start your very own eye-popping game of CHECKERS!

I hate blond men. Except for Simon Baker. He is one fine piece of Man Candy

I hate blond men. I hate smug blond men. But I don’t hate Simon Baker. On the contrary, I think Simon Baker is the sexiest blond man on the Big Screen since Orlando Bloom stopped playing drop-dead-gorgeous Legolas in the Lord of the Rings.

Anyone who watches the Mentalist will agree with me that the show can be very addictive. If you’re not careful, it can literally take over your life, one episode at a time, until the only thing you can think about is Patrick Jane’s smirk and bloody Red John smiley faces.

Needless to say that I simply cannot wait until “I give it a year” is released in Belgian theatres! (Honestly, why does Belgium always have to release films long after their original release dates in the US or the UK???) Just watch the trailer below, you’ll know what I mean. (It starts with an -S, and it ends in -Imon Baker is smokin’! 😉  )

By the way, did you know that Simon Baker is the new face for Givenchy? The ad for Givenchy’s new fragrance “Gentlemen Only” shows him –soaking wet in a rainstorm!- giving his umbrella to a lady. Sigh. What a modern-day gentleman. Seriously, the ad gives me goosebumps!!

“Haven’t you heard? I’m the crazy bitch around here.” Blair Waldorf

“Whoever said money doesn’t buy happiness doesn’t know where to shop.” Blair Waldorf

Tonight begins the last season of Gossip Girl, and although some girls may not want to admit it, but we will all miss the show once it’s gone. Simply because it is the best teen drama EVER! It is about scheming, lying and backstabbing. It’s about sex, heartbreaks and ridiculously hot guys. But the two best things by far about Gossip Girl are Blair Waldorf and her wardrobe. Blair Waldorf is bitchy, bossy and vain with a soft spot for classic movies and Audrey Hepburn. She always looks perfectly polished and sophisticated and has an endless love for handbags, collars and bows.

And she NEVER EVER EVER wears jeans!
