Collar me in

Collars are riding extremely high on my personal fashion radar, because they can immediately spice up your outfit. Wear it as a cool necklace alternative or as the cherry on top an already very chic and sophisticated dress/ knitted jumper/ sheer chiffon blouse.

You can either buy a dress or blouse with an already attached embellished collar or you can buy it separately as an accessory so you can mix it with practically any outfit! (fun guaranteed! 🙂 )

I absolutely love collars embellished with studs, beads or pearls but the look I’m most chuffed about –without a doubt – are the chain collar tips. Simply clip it on and it will take the whole outfit up a notch.

So start collaring, ladies! (I don’t know if this is actually a verb, but humour me for a second 😉 )

Feather Fetish

I have a confession to make, dear readers. In a fashion world where every woman is glued to her lipstick and addicted to her “slim fit”-jeans, there are a few fashionistas who take it one step further and develop a more “exotic” fashion addiction. As you may guess, I am one of them. My addiction? Feathers!  I honestly can’t stop buying feathery things: from feather embellished skirts and dresses, to feather jackets and collars. As well as feather boots, bags and earrings. My feather collection is absolutely enormous! For some absurd reason, I especially love black feathers, because they stand for both classiness and mystery. A black feather outfit is edgy, eclectic and elegant: three words that – in my humble opinion- represent me as a young woman.

In short, I am seriously infected with feather flu. 😉

“OMG, you look absolutely fabulous!” : Tips for the perfect Christmas outfit

I am OBSESSED with Christmas. In September, I started making a wishlist of all the presents I would like to get ( crazy!). In June, I started planning the Christmas menu. (really crazy !) And every single day I contemplate about the perfect outfit for Christmas Eve. (absolutely bonkers!).

However, this craziness has it benefits as well! I can now proudly announce that I am a true connoisseur of what (not) to wear on Christmas. And brace yourself, I am about to share my wise advice with all of you.

Tip 1: Accessorize

Against common standards, you don’t necessarily need to wear a glittery/gold/ shiny dress to impress on Christmas Eve. On the contrary, it can often be more affective to wear a basic black, grey or red dress and pimp it with the right accessories. A pair of statement earrings or –my personal favorite- a gold luxury embellished collar cannot only be worn on Christmas but also on all sorts of other occasions! Just think about how much fun it would be to impress your butcher with a pair of bling bling earrings!

Tip 2: Dress like a dude

A well-tailored women’s suit can be ridiculously sexy. Just look at Halle Berry, Leighton Meester or Eva Longoria! Or why not try these sequined baggy trousers? Believe me, ALL EYES WILL BE ON YOU!

Tip 3: Christmas in technicolor

Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing black&gold or red, but why not opt for a more untraditional colour this year? Purple, bright pink, green, yellow or all these colours combined?

Tonight begins the last season of Gossip Girl, and although some girls may not want to admit it, but we will all miss the show once it’s gone. Simply because it is the best teen drama EVER! It is about scheming, lying and backstabbing. It’s about sex, heartbreaks and ridiculously hot guys. But the two best things by far about Gossip Girl are Blair Waldorf and her wardrobe. Blair Waldorf is bitchy, bossy and vain with a soft spot for classic movies and Audrey Hepburn. She always looks perfectly polished and sophisticated and has an endless love for handbags, collars and bows.

And she NEVER EVER EVER wears jeans!
